If you don’t have a “crazy cat lady” in your life, then you’re missing out on a good old time. These women are famous for giving numerous cats a home to live in by sacrificing their own space to accommodate the furry felines. Although some crazy cat ladies have as many as four or six or even ten cats, Lynea Lattanzio, who proudly identifies herself as an “eccentric, crazy cat lady,” doesn’t have a dozen or a few dozen cats living with her at home – she has no fewer than one thousand cats as pets in her place.

Lattanzio lives in a 4,200 square foot home. However, she has given up her space to allow the cats to run amok. She was interviewed for a video that was published to the truly YouTube channel back in 2016. According to that video description, Lattanzio’s life will never go back to being cat-free.

“A caring cat lady has given up her 4,200 square foot home to more than a thousand felines. Sixty-seven-year-old Lynea Lattanzio now lives in a trailer on her six-acre property and allows the cats to run freely through the five-bedroom house. Today she runs Cat House On The Kings, which is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats. Lynea and her team of volunteers care for about 800 adult cats and 300 kittens. The team starts feedings at the shelter at 4 am, and they also give medical attention to critically ill cats.”

While Lattanzio doesn’t get to live in the house anymore, she has made a career out of her cat shelter. She runs Cat House On The Kings, which is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats.

Lattanzio and her team of volunteers care for about 800 adult cats and 300 kittens.
